The Gap Between the Gap™ — where stress softens and clarity returns, in and out of the saddle this season.

this is for riders who know their horse responds more to their clear presence than to their aids — especially when the stakes rise.

when you think about your season as a whole, do you trust your inner state to hold as steadily as your horse’s training?
is this the moment to train the internal field your horse has been reading all along — so performance becomes an expression of trust, not tension?

if these questions land in your body, it’s time to build a nervous system that can truly sustain the level of performance and partnership you and your horse are asking for, year after year.

this flagship session is a microcosm — a first, lived experience of how breath and nervous-system work can shift the way you ride and relate to your horse, with or without a longer commitment.
we begin with what’s most present in your body and partnership, then shape the path from there. no two riders move through this work the same way, yet the spine stays constant: breath, nervous system, and the subtle energy your horse has been reading all along.

how a season or year of this work can look

for many riders, this work becomes the quiet backbone of a season — or even a year — rather than a single session.

over time, it can look like:

  • a 3-month reset — a focused arc to recalibrate your nervous system, rebuild confidence, and anchor a new baseline your horse can trust.
  • a 6-month season companion — ongoing support through a competition season, weaving breathwork and regulation into your training, showing, and recovery rhythms.
  • a 12-month integration — a deeper commitment where nervous-system training, rider–horse coherence, and life thresholds are held inside one coherent field, season after season.
how your customized plan can unfold

every rider–horse partnership is different. after your first session together, we decide how this work wants to move through your season.

your customized plan might draw from pathways like:

rebuilding your seat after trauma
restoring confidence, rhythm, and a steady internal seat after a fall, fright, or unexpected moment.

breathwork for thresholds of change
breath-led support for grief, identity shifts, reinvention, and life transitions, whether or not you are currently riding.

these aren’t boxes to fit into, but living pathways your plan can draw from as you and your horse evolve.

as your work deepens, the structure adjusts with you — honoring the season you’re in, the horse in front of you, and the life moving through you. some riders stay close to performance and precision; others move through recovery, grief, or reinvention along the way. all of it belongs inside this field.

these aren’t pre-boxed programs, but examples of how the work can live in your riding life. you might move through it as a 3-month reset, a 6-month season companion, a 12-month integration, or a fully customized rhythm we design together — always in conversation with the horse in front of you.

inside a flagship session

for competitive and dedicated equestrians, this flagship equestrian performance breathwork session lays the groundwork for a season of coherence — so your nervous system becomes as deliberately trained as your horse’s body in the warm-up ring, at the in-gate, and in everyday life with your horse.

what this session supports

in this private equestrian performance breathwork session, you will learn to:

  • unwind survival patterns that surface under pressure — before, during, and after competition
  • regulate your nervous system so your horse feels steadiness, clarity, and safety in your seat
  • transform show nerves into focused presence your horse can confidently perform inside of
  • release tension imprinted from past falls, injuries, or high-stakes experiences that still live in your body
  • build a repeatable breath and regulation protocol you can use in the barn aisle, warm-up ring, or at home on non-riding days

how we work inside this session

each session is shaped around your real riding life and season. together, we typically:

  • map how your nervous system responds to pressure using specific moments from your rides, shows, or past falls
  • sequence breath and regulation practices that meet your system where it is, rather than forcing it to “calm down” on command
  • practice shifting your state in real time using situations your body and horse already know (the in-gate, a line that rides tight, a spooky corner, or a tough transition)
  • translate those internal shifts into clearer, softer signals your horse can feel through your seat, breath, and presence
  • close with a simple reset you can repeat on your own — before a ride, between classes, or at home on non-riding days

this flagship session is a microcosm — a first, lived experience of how breath and nervous-system work can shift the way you ride and relate to your horse, with or without a longer commitment.

from there, some riders choose to let this session stand alone as a reset. others return for rider–horse coherence sessions as needed throughout their season — before key shows, after tough rides, or when something new surfaces in the partnership. and some feel called into a more structured arc over 3, 6, or 12 months. we decide together based on where you are, what you’re riding for, and what your horse is showing you.

the gap between the gap™ method

your horse reads the space between your thoughts, your breath, your tension, and your intention. that invisible space is the gap between the gap™ — the internal quiet where your body organizes itself into coherence… and your horse finally feels held instead of managed.

through trauma-informed somatic breathwork, nervous system regulation, and subtle energy awareness, this method teaches you to create that internal gap on purpose, even when the stakes are high. when your internal field settles, your horse reads your body as reliable, grounded, and safe — and performance becomes an expression of trust rather than tension.

“the body speaks its history through posture, gesture, and movement.”
